Stacy Lynn Archer
Attorney Stacy Lynn Archer graduated with her undergraduate degree in History from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1995, magna cum laude. She graduated with her law degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville College of Law in 2001, cum laude. She has been licensed in Tennessee since 2001. In addition to being licensed to practice in Tennessee, she is admitted in the Eastern District of Tennessee and in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
After graduation from law school, Mrs. Archer clerked for Chancellors Frank Brown and Howell Peoples in the Chancery Court for Hamilton County, Tennessee. Mrs. Archer has worked at Robinson, Smith & Wells since August 2002, and became a partner in 2009. Mrs. Archer’s litigation practice focuses on healthcare liability defense and municipality defense, where she represents healthcare professionals, municipalities and municipal employees. Mrs. Archer’s practice has included a wide variety of tort litigation from automobile accidents, dog bites, slip and falls, and sexual discrimination employment cases.
In addition to litigation, Mrs. Archer assists medical professionals in administrative matters, including state board investigations, HIPAA inquiries and investigations by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. She has also handled EEOC and THRA employment investigations, Federal Office of Civil Rights investigations, as well as Title IX claims involving allegations of sexual assault.
Mrs. Archer was previously a member of the Brock-Cooper Inns of Court chapter located in Chattanooga. She is a current member of the Chattanooga Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association.
In her spare time Mrs. Archer enjoys traveling to America’s National Parks with her husband and son.
